‘I’d never been outgoing at school; I was never a performer and I was always too shy to put myself forward. But I knew without a doubt when I put on those headphones and spoke into the mike for the first time that I wanted to be a DJ. I loved everything about it – the adrenalin hitting a few minutes before you were about to go live, finding bands I wanted to play on the radio, thinking of how to introduce them.’
